MEXT Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Age: Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1989.
Eligibility: Applicants must be graduates of universities or teacher training schools and have completed a total of five years in primary/secondary educational institutions or teacher training schools (excluding universities) in their home countries by 1 October 2024 as What is the teacher’s work? University faculty members are not eligible.
Individual Criteria: Applicants should be intellectually and psychologically capable of spending eighteen months in an international environment in a society whose culture is completely different from that of Pakistan. In addition, applicants should be prepared to learn Japanese and receive research guidance in Japanese, as many universities offer courses only in Japanese. Japanese language training is already provided by universities in Japan. Courses usually start in October.
